Europe: We Cannot Confront Russia Without American Support

Some European officials have acknowledged that Europe has a limited capacity to provide military assistance to Ukraine, emphasizing the crucial need for American involvement.

According to the Independent, officials from Finland, Latvia, and Estonia have recently admitted that NATO’s European members are not prepared to confront Russia without American intervention. These officials have stated that European NATO countries have reached the limits of their capacity to support Ukraine militarily.

Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal remarked, “We are not ready. This is very clear. We cannot simply hope that America will continue to be involved in Europe.” He also emphasized that Europe must take steps to increase its defense capabilities in response to the ongoing conflict.

In related news, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that Britain and Japan have provided Ukraine with $1 billion in their latest aid package. He specified that this funding will be used for social and humanitarian initiatives.
