Aligned with the official visit of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to the Russian Federation, the CEO of Visit Qatar, Engineer Abdulaziz Ali Al Mawlawi, took part in a prestigious panel discussion during the Qatari-Russian Business Forum, held on Thursday in Moscow under the theme: ‘Cooperation in Healthcare, Tourism, and Urban Infrastructure to Support National Development Priorities’.
Moderated by Karina Hassan — a prominent journalist, TV presenter, and Co-founder of K&K Productions — the session gathered an esteemed group of speakers, including His Excellency Engineer Khalid Ahmed Al Obaidli, Chairman of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarart); Dmitry Morozov, Chairman of the Board of Directors at BIOCAD JSC; and Sergei Cheremin, Minister of the Government of Moscow and Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow.
The discussion provided a platform to explore promising investment opportunities in the fields of tourism, urban infrastructure, and medical technology, placing a strong emphasis on regulatory frameworks and the promotion of public-private partnership models.
In his address, Engineer Al Mawlawi highlighted the exciting potential for deepened tourism collaboration between Qatar and Russia. He emphasized key areas such as expanding tailored tourism offerings, strengthening air connectivity between Doha and major Russian cities, and enhancing visa facilitation to encourage greater tourist flows from Russia to Qatar.
He also shared insights into Visit Qatar’s continuous initiatives to position Qatar as a preferred global destination, which include focused digital marketing campaigns, dynamic participation in international travel exhibitions, and strategic partnerships with leading tour operators and travel platforms within the Russian market.
Furthermore, Engineer Al Mawlawi reiterated Visit Qatar’s dedication to delivering a seamless and enriching visitor experience, grounded in the nation’s rich cultural heritage, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and a vibrant, year-round calendar of diverse events.
