An Israeli newspaper has reported on the possibility of the U.S. president recognizing a Palestinian state.
The Jerusalem Post indicated that Donald Trump is expected to formally recognize Palestine during his upcoming meeting with Arab Gulf state officials in mid-May in Riyadh.
According to the report, a political source from the Gulf region emphasized that such a move could mark a major shift in U.S. policy, potentially drawing additional Arab countries into the normalization process with the Israeli regime.
The meeting is set to take place during Trump’s first visit to Saudi Arabia in his new presidential term.
