Lapid: Now is the time for the fall of the Netanyahu government

Yair Lapid, leader of the Zionist opposition, strongly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s performance, stating that the government must not sink into the Gaza quagmire.

Lapid added, “Now is the time for the government to fall.”

He continued, “The government should not be dragged deeper into the Gaza quagmire. The army should remain stationed in the border area.”

The opposition leader demanded clarity, saying, “We need to know Netanyahu’s government’s plan for Gaza. Will our soldiers continue to die in the Strip for years to come?”

    Growing Criticism from Zionist Officials
The backlash against Netanyahu and his cabinet’s handling of the Gaza war—as well as deteriorating relations with the U.S.—has intensified. Avigdor Lieberman, former War Minister of the Zionist regime and head of the “Israel Our Home” party, previously launched a scathing attack on Netanyahu, accusing him of bringing U.S.-Israel relations to an unprecedented low.

In an interview with Channel 12, Lieberman stated, “I have never seen relations with the U.S. this strained. The Americans are making deals with the Yemenis, negotiating with Iran, and keeping us in the dark. This is a crisis, and Netanyahu bears full responsibility.”

He also condemned the cabinet’s wartime leadership, saying, “If they couldn’t defeat Hamas in a year and seven months, they won’t do it in 17 years. As long as Israeli hostages remain in Gaza, Hamas will not be defeated.”

Former War Minister Compares Netanyahu’s Government to Nazis
On May 8, Moshe Ya’alon, another former War Minister of the Zionist regime, launched a fierce attack on Netanyahu, likening his cabinet to Nazis and warning of Israel’s bleak future.

Speaking at Tel Aviv University’s “Future of Israel” conference, Ya’alon painted a grim picture of the current situation: “Israel is facing its most severe crisis since its founding in 1948—perhaps the worst in Zionist history.”

He urged, “Recognizing this crisis is the first step to overcoming it. We must stop this failed, racist, and fascist regime. Netanyahu and his ministers want endless war, even at the cost of sacrificing the hostages in Gaza.”
