United States: Progress Made in Negotiations with Iran

The U.S. Department of State has described the second round of negotiations with Iran, held at the Omani Embassy in Rome, as satisfactory.

According to Al Arabiya, the State Department announced on Saturday that significant progress was achieved during the four-hour talks with Iranian officials in Rome.

The U.S. State Department also commended the role of the Sultanate of Oman in facilitating discussions between Tehran and Washington, expressing gratitude for Muscat’s efforts to support this diplomatic process.

In this context, Al Arabiya reported that an American official stated that both parties reached notable advancements in the recent negotiations held in Rome.

The unnamed official also claimed that direct and indirect talks were conducted with the Iranians in Rome.

He added that Iran has made good progress in nuclear negotiations.

Additionally, the U.S. official mentioned that an agreement was reached with the Iranians to hold a new round of talks next week.
