Jordan’s King Abdullah II held talks in London with current and former British officials, as well as members of the UK House of Commons and House of Lords, to discuss the latest developments in the Middle East, including the situation in Gaza and the West Bank.
According to Rossiya Al-Youm, King Abdullah II met with British officials and parliamentarians on Friday in London.
According to Jordan’s official news agency, the meetings focused on the most prominent developments in the Middle East, with particular emphasis on the situation in the Gaza Strip.
King Abdullah stressed the urgent need for an immediate halt to the war in Gaza and for ensuring the delivery of sufficient humanitarian aid to prevent the worsening of the humanitarian crisis there.
He also highlighted the important role that the UK can play in helping to achieve stability in the region and called for efforts to create a political horizon for a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.
