Axios: Trump Seeks Peace Agreement Between Israel and Arab Countries

An American media outlet reports that Israeli Prime Minister has requested a meeting with U.S. President at the White House, while Donald Trump is also advocating for an upgrade to the peace agreements between Israel and Arab nations.

Following recent tensions in West Asia and Israeli-United States operations against Iran, it appears that former President Donald Trump is shifting his focus back to the region, aiming to strengthen relations between Israel and Arab countries.

Axios news agency writes: “After the ceasefire with Iran, Donald Trump now aims to end Israel’s war in Gaza and advance peace agreements with neighboring Arab states.”

In the early hours of June 13, Israel launched a large-scale operation against Iran. Tehran responded on the same day with “Promise Keeper 3” operations, targeting military sites in occupied territories, and after 12 days, Israel was compelled to accept a ceasefire.

Axios also reports, citing three Israeli officials: “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intends to meet with President Trump at the White House in the coming weeks.”

According to the report, two Israeli officials said that preliminary discussions between Netanyahu’s advisors and White House officials about an upcoming visit have taken place, although no date has been set yet.

Another Israeli source mentioned that the trip could occur in the second week of July, while Netanyahu’s spokesperson said they are unaware of any scheduled visit to Washington.

The White House has not issued any statement on the matter.

An informed source told Axios: “Trump wants an immediate ceasefire and agreement on the prisoners in Gaza.”

Steve Witterkoff, the U.S. Special Envoy for West Asia, recently claimed: “We believe there will be significant announcements regarding countries that will join the Abraham Accords.”
