Juventus cruised to a 4-1 victory over Morocco’s Wydad AC in their Club World Cup Group G clash at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, with 19-year-old Turkish sensation Kenan Yildiz delivering a match-winning performance.
The Italian giants took control early when Yildiz’s sixth-minute shot deflected off Wydad defender Ayoub Boutouil for an own goal. Yildiz doubled the lead ten minutes later with a precise finish from inside the box. Wydad briefly threatened when Thembinkosi Lorch halved the deficit in the 25th minute.
Yildiz restored Juventus’ two-goal cushion in the 69th minute with another composed finish before Dusan Vlahović converted a 90th-minute penalty to complete the scoring. The teenage winger’s dominant display earned him Player of the Match honors and secured Juventus’ progression to the next round.
